Lawley Green Space Project
As a resident of Lawley, Mark was the founding member of Lawley Green Space Group. The Group was established to involve the local community in protecting, enhancing and utilising the green space on the estate where they live.
Mark worked with other residents, contractors, Butterfly Conservation and Shropshire Wildlife Trust to develop a variety of areas suitable for both wildlife and residents.
Using his knowledge, Mark was able to create many of the features in the green space using localy sourced natural materials.
It has been a vey successful enterprise that has brought the residents together and has developed a true feeling of community, this was recognised when the group won The Pride Of Shropshire Award for the best Community Group in 2009
